Richie Hurd, Vice President
Richie Hurd has been instrumental in all aspects of Hurd
Real Estate's operations since joining in 2008. His responsibilities include
marketing the company's real estate portfolio, acquisitions, financial
analysis, banking relations, day-to-day property management and on-site
construction management. Richie has been involved in successfully leasing over
200,000 square feet of retail, office and industrial space, acquiring 15 investment
properties and repositioning six distressed assets in the past three years.
Prior to his partnership with his Father, Richard Hurd,
Richie worked at a national real estate firm in Scottsdale, Arizona selling
retail investment properties. In
addition to investment sales, Richie located 25 sites for a national
mini-storage company looking to expand into the Phoenix market. He also helped lease and manage the Hurd Real
Estate owned Center at Troon North.
A 2006 graduate of Creighton University, Richie earned a
BSBA in Entrepreneurial Management. He was a member of the Creighton University
men's soccer team which included a trip to the 2002 NCAA Division I Final Four
Championship Tournament. He is a member of the International Council of
Shopping Centers (ICSC), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
candidate and a licensed real estate salesperson in both Iowa and Arizona. He
serves on the board of the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association (ICREA) as
well as the Creighton University Alumni Advisory Board. He is involved in Big
Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Iowa and is an active member of Valley
Church.
